The thread that runs through my life is creativity and communication. I’m a musician, marketing professional, life coach, and a mixed media artist.

Born and raised in Rhode Island my adventures have taken me to Boston, Manhattan, Long Island, and Santa Fe, New Mexico….and finally back to living in South County, Rhode Island where I’m happiest being home and by the ocean.

I am drawn to faces — specifically women’s faces — as well as the natural world in Rhode Island of birds, trees, mermaids, and the ocean. As a child, I would look at picture books and make stories up to accompany the pictures. I find that same pattern showing up in my artwork today with each piece having a unique story. When I’m in the process of creating my art a narrative emerges, one that I feel drawn to, enfolding in a dialogue with me.

My art weaves through textured and layered surfaces using a range of both natural and man-made materials — paint, fabric, paper, feathers, 3D printed objects, photographs, found objects, wood, yarn, and metal. I enjoy collecting the 3D materials from a variety of sources including resale shops, my grandmother’s button stash, yard sales, old family photographs, vintage magazines, my Mom’s Butterick sewing patterns, discarded watches and keys, beach shells, and dried seaweed from the ocean.
